Né à Dijon, El-Houari “Wary The Warrior” Si Abdelkader découvre le Breaking dès 1996 et s’envole pour New York à partir de 2003 afin de se former au Rock Dance auprès de figures emblématiques de la scène new-yorkaise. Titulaire d’un Master en Études Afro-Américaines, il allie savoir académique et connaissance de terrain. Reconnu comme l’un des plus grands experts mondiaux de ce style, il est également cofondateur du crew Kossassins et a enseigné près de 200 workshops dans 37 pays, tout en préparant récemment les athlètes américains pour les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024. Son regard unique, conjuguant passion, rigueur et expérience, fait de Don’t Stop the Rock! un incontournable pour comprendre les racines et l’essence d’une culture qui a redessiné l’histoire de la danse urbaine.

About the Author
Born in Dijon, El-Houari “Wary The Warrior” Si Abdelkader discovered Breaking in 1996 and from 2003 onward traveled to New York to train in Rock Dance with iconic figures of the local scene. Armed with a Master’s degree in African American Studies, he combines academic insight with on-the-ground expertise. Regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on the style, he also co-founded the Kossassins crew, has taught nearly 200 workshops across 37 countries, and recently prepared U.S. athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. His unique perspective—balancing passion, rigor, and lived experience—makes Don’t Stop the Rock! indispensable for understanding the origins and essence of a culture that has redrawn the boundaries of urban dance.
